this tour
This tour is a combination of
spectacular sea kayaking and hiking in Quadra
Islands remote North: Small Inlet Provincial
Park.
The highlights of this tour are the sheltered
emerald lagoons, the wonderful scenery, it's
wildlife, the history of this area including
ancient native middens and the hike to a deep
blue lake.
After some great paddling we
reach the end of the Fjord, and we begin our
hike on maintained trails through the dense
rain forest, where we study the healing and
edible plants of the temperate rain forest.
Trees and the forest floor are covered thick
with moss and ferns.
Some other nice features of this tour are
the beautiful creeks and the small waterfall
on our way to a crystal clear lake, known
for its deep blue colour, a great place for
our picnic and a dip in the refreshing water.
After some relaxing time on
the lake we return to our launching site..
Full day tour, delicious lunch included. Difficulty
rating: Kayaking and hiking suitable for all
