Sea kayaking along the Discovery Islands, the Coast Mountains of vancouver island and Johnstone Strait is world class.

The East Coast of Vancouver Island is the warmest part of Canada. The weather becomes pleasant in April/ May, the summers are hot and stable with very little rain. It's usually very warm in September and October. We have about 50% less rain than the West Coast of Vancouver Island (Tofino, Nootka Sound). This provides an ideal environment for sea kayaking.

The calm ocean, well protected against strong winds, and the spectacular variety of wildlife and plants make this part of vancouver island perfect for beginner and advanced kayaking.
