For this awesome Prize Pack we hand-picked some of our favourite things hand made by local artisans here on Quadra Island. Along with a Wildcoast t-shirt, hoodie and ball cap, this collection will bring back fond memories of your west coast adventure.
What better way to remember your kayaking adventure than to slip into a fun t-shirt or warm hoodie that reminds you of the great time you had while exploring the West Coast wilderness.
Nominated for the 2016 Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour “Let’s do this! How hard can it be?” David and his wife Sally, in their mid-fifties, went from being white collar urbanites to living off the grid in a remote location in the Discovery Islands (a place we paddle by during our trips). In this humorous memoir, they recount the challenges of constructing their own home, providing their own water and electricity, and learning to live with the wildlife, including their few, but eccentric neighbors.
Since 1995, William van Orden, aka BilzRockFish, has been making replicas of fish and other marine critters. He has developed a unique technique for creating extremely accurate renditions of the sea life found along the West Coast.
Earthlight incorporates the beauty of the West Coast into each of their pottery pieces. A memento to remind you daily of the remote wilderness as you enjoy your morning cup of caffeine.
Each bar of soap is individually hand cut, making each bar unique. With their rough cut and unrefined exterior, these soaps have artistic beauty, nurturing substances and intoxicating fragrance.
Selected by Ducks Unlimited as a Portfolio Artist is only one of Kevin’s many accolades. Creating photo realistic detail in his pieces by relying on the texture and tonal values of the subjects, the results are truly life like.
This contest is open to Wildcoast Adventures Past Trip Participants and is governed by Canadian law.
