Experience the wilds of Spectacular British Columbia on land, sea, and in the air this summer.

(9 dni / 8 nocí)

Fly above the mountainous west coast, ride horses up to historic mines and kayak with killer whales all in one trip. The Great BC Sea to Sky Adventure will take you from Squamish all the way up the coast to Robson Bight on Vancouver Island for an adventure you won’t soon forget.

Coastal Wilderness, from Land and Sea and Air

Get to know British Columbia’s Coast Mountain range from land sea and air.

Traveling north from Vancouver your first stop is Squamish, BC. As you board an exhilarating flight over Garibaldi Provincial Park, this is a perfect place to take out your camera. bc sea to sky adventure planeride

You’ll be awestruck as you soar above areas explored only by grizzly bears, goats, eagles, and the occasional mountaineer.

This perspective high above the mountains, provides a bird’s eye view of the regions you will be exploring over the next seven days.

Your Riding Adventure into the Backcountry

Back on the ground, your journey takes you further inland through Whistler and up to Pemberton.

Get ready to don your riding gear as you head into the mountain trails opened by First Nations and miners hundreds of years ago.bc sea to sky adventure horses

During the day you will develop a bond with your horse, your constant companion during this trip, as you explore remote places like the Li-lik-hel gold mine.

Each evening while swapping tales with your wranglers and enjoying the best of campfire cooking, you’ll be gazing at stars so close you can touch them.

Onto the Ferry and Up the Island Highway

After your days riding the range, it’s back down the Sea to Sky highway to Horseshoe Bay where you board the ferry to Nanaimo.

When you disembark from the ferry, your destination is Campbell River, but consider taking additional time along the old island highway in order to stop at one of the many small towns on your way up the coast.

Venture into Killer Whale Territory with a Kayak

After a peaceful night’s sleep, your sea adventure begins.

Boarding a boat that will take you up the Inside Passage, you will breathe in the coastal air as you travel into the heart of Johnstone Strait where killer whales roam freely in search of salmon, their favourite delicacy.

Where Your Journey Takes You

Your first stop in Squamish is about a 90 minute drive from Vancouver International Airport. Your second destination is approximately an hour drive that takes you through Whistler and north on Highway 99 to Pemberton. The journey from Pemberton to Campbell River is a full day trip that includes both highway and ferry. On the final day of your package you will return to Campbell River at approximately 3:00pm where you can carry on to whatever destination and adventures you have planned next.

Poznámka: You will require a rental car for your travels between each destination on this trip. Rental Car, Ferry Crossings, and Accommodations prior to the first day of the adventure and after you return from camp on final day are not included. Reservations on BC Ferries on the third day of your trip is highly recommended.

What to Pack

While summertime temperatures average in the 20-27 degree Celsius range, dni môžu byť teplé alebo studené. As much of this adventure is outdoors, we recommend you pack lots of synthetic materials and leave cotton items at home (or keep in mind that you will only wear them when on land). Bring both summer clothing (šortky, tričká, dámske plavky, atď) a teplé oblečenie (dlhé nohavice, fleecová bunda alebo vlny sveter, dlhý rukáv košele priedušné, pláštenka, teplé ponožky, atď). When out on the trails or on the water it’s a priority to remain warm and dry and layering with synthetic materials is the best way to achieve this.
