As you can imagine, the impact of the coronavirus worldwide has had us reviewing how to safely operate our trips. Safety has always been our top priority, and while we are all keen to get out into the wild, we want to make sure that we can do so responsibly. We are following the Province of British Columbia guidelines for our 2021 season and look forward to getting adventurers out into the wilderness for a much needed escape.
Province of British Columbia Restart Plan – Phase 3
The BC Government is currently in Phase 3 of the BC Restart Plan. Moving to phase 3, means recreational travel is now allowed throughout the province for residents of Canada. We anticipate that travel for our International Guests will resume in 2021
Travel may continue to be impacted in 2021. The precautions recommended in your home country should also be taken when you are away. In order to continue to limit the impact of the virus and ensure the safety of our guests and our staff, Wildcoast will continue to follow all provincial health recommendations.
Covid-19 Operating Protocols
Wildcoast has worked with several other kayaking companies in our region to discuss how to safely operate kayaking trips in light of the Covid-19 situation. See what we have being doing differently by reviewing our Covid-19 Operating Protocols. As part of these changes, in addition to Wildcoast’s Waiver, all guests are required to review and sign a Covid Statement of Understanding.
Our Ongoing Commitment
At Wildcoast Adventures, we will continue to follow the guidelines set out by BC Centre for Disease Control, WorksafeBC and the Tourism Industry Association of BC to protect our community, our guests, and our front line staff.
