OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
THE SAFETY AND WELLBEING OF OUR GUESTS AND EMPLOYEES IS OUR TOP PRIORITY
As you can imagine, given the impact of the coronavirus worldwide Wildcoast did an in-depth review of how to safely operate our trips in 2020. Safety has always been our top priority, and while we are all keen to get out into the wild, we wanted to make sure that we could do so responsibly. In addition to protocols we developed along with others in our industry, we are following the Province of British Columbia guidelines for our 2021 season and look forward to getting adventurers out into the wilderness for a much needed escape.
Province of British Columbia Restart Plan – Phase 3
The BC Government is in Phase 3 of the BC Restart Plan. Recreational travel is allowed throughout the province for residents of Canada. While travel may continue to be impacted in 2021 we are hopeful that British Columbia will move into Phase 4 by next summer and International Guests will be welcomed back to join us again.
Covid-19 Operating Protocols
Wildcoast has worked with several other kayaking companies in our region to discuss how to safely operate kayaking trips in light of the Covid-19 situation. See what we have being doing differently by reviewing our Covid-19 Operating Protocols.
As part of these changes, in addition to Wildcoast’s Waiver, all guests are required to review and sign a Covid “Statement of Understanding”. Please note, the “Statement of Understanding” reflects the current conditions imposed by the Government of Canada. This document will be updated as travel and quarantine requirements are revised leading up to the summer of 2021.
Our Ongoing Commitment
In order to limit the impact of the virus and ensure the safety of our guests and our staff, Wildcoast is continuing to follow all provincial health recommendations. As we move forward, we will continue to follow the guidelines set out by BC Centre for Disease Control, WorksafeBC and the Tourism Industry Association of BC to protect our community, our guests, and our front line staff.
