As you can imagine, the impact of the coronavirus worldwide has had us reviewing how to safely operate our trips. Safety has always been our top priority, and while we are all keen to get out into the wild, we want to make sure that we can do so responsibly. We are following the Province of British Columbia guidelines for our 2020 season and look forward to getting adventurers out into the wilderness for a much needed escape.
Province of British Columbia Restart Plan – Phase 3
Travel is different this year. The precautions you take at home should also be taken when you are away. In addition, in order to continue to limit the impact of the virus, in accordance with the provincial recommendations, Wildcoast trips will be available to social bubbles. Social Bubbles consist of a tightly restricted group of people who are regularly in close physical contact such as families or friends and who socialize exclusively with each other.
Please note, the restart plan remains fluid and is subject to change should there be adverse impacts of moving to this new phase.
Covid-19 Operating Protocols
Wildcoast has worked with several other kayaking companies in our region to discuss how to safely operate kayaking trips in light of the Covid-19 situation. See what will be different by reviewing our Covid-19 Operating Protocols for the 2020 season. In addition to Wildcoast’s Waiver, all guests will be required to review and sign a Covid Statement of Understanding.
Due to the impact of Covid-19 we have to do things a little differently this year. Our trips are available to “Social Bubbles” of up to six people. Social Bubbles consist of a tightly restricted group of people who are regularly in close physical contact such as families or friends and who socialize exclusively with each other.
Departure dates and pricing are listed on each webpage at the bottom. If you are considering an adventure this summer and have questions, please contact us ([email protected]) for further details.
Wildcoast looks forward to welcoming International Guests, including those from the United States, back to our region in 2021. We miss you, and hope you have an awesome adventure closer to home this year.
