COVID-19 Update

– this Covid-19 information is current as of May 2021, and is updated regularly –

As you can imagine, given the impact of Covid-19 worldwide Wildcoast did an in-depth review of how to safely operate our trips last season.  Safety has always been our top priority, and while we are all keen to get out into the wild, we wanted to make sure that we could do so responsibly.

We are proud to report that last season, we hosted over 150 guests on a combination of day tours, rentals, and multi-day expeditions and our COVID-19 mitigation approach was a success. To our knowledge none of our staff nor guests contracted the Coronavirus on our trips.

This experience bodes well for our upcoming 2021 season and we look forward to getting adventurers like you out onto the water for a wilderness escape.

Safe Travels Certification from World Travel & Tourism Council for Wildcoast Adventures

The steps we are taking means Wildcoast Adventures is a “SafeTravel” destination as classified by the World Travel & Tourism Council.

The ‘Safe Travels Stamp’ is an international designation that provides travellers and other travel and tourism stakeholders to recognize destinations and tourism businesses that have implemented health and hygiene protocols that are aligned with WTTC’s Safe Travels Protocols – so consumers can experience ‘Safe Travels’.

2021 Adventures

Given that vaccines are rolling out and testing protocols continue to improve, we are optimistic that we are now on the path to getting back to normal. As noted above, with the experience we gained last season we are confident that our protocols will allow our guests to enjoy safe, fun kayaking trips.

All dates for 2021 are now available for booking. Please note that many of our guests that originally planned to join an adventure in 2020 moved their trips to 2021. If you are thinking about a 2021 adventure, we strongly recommend booking now to avoid disappointment.

If you are not sure yet about travelling in 2021, but would like to be added to our notification list regarding trip availability as spots fill up, please contact us at [email protected] We are also taking reservations for Summer 2022. By booking your spot now for a future trip you receive the benefit of locking in the 2021 price.

Book with Confidence

Wildcoast Adventures standard cancellation and rebooking policies apply to all trips. Your trip is fully refundable up to 60 days prior to your tour departure date, less a 3% admin fee. We are also providing flexible rebooking options at no cost should you need to change your dates.

When planning your trip we strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance. If you would like more insight into the variety of options, please read the tips provided on our Travel Insurance Info page.

Covid-19 Operating Protocols

Wildcoast has worked with several other kayaking companies in our region to discuss how to safely operate kayaking trips in light of the Covid-19 situation.  See what we have being doing differently by reviewing our Covid-19 Operating Protocols.

As part of these changes, in addition to Wildcoast’s Waiver, all guests are required to review and sign a Covid “Statement of Understanding”.

Below is the “Statement of Understanding” from last season. This document will be updated as travel and quarantine requirements are revised leading up to the summer of 2021.

Our Ongoing Commitment

In order to limit the impact of the virus and ensure the safety of our guests and our staff, Wildcoast is continuing to follow all provincial health recommendations. As we move forward, we will continue to follow the guidelines set out by BC Centre for Disease Control, WorksafeBC and the Tourism Industry Association of BC to protect our community, our guests, and our front line staff.
